The BJMP Regional Office 12 and Malapatan District Jail personnel, and volunteers of a women association from a nearby community conducted a coastal clean-up mangrove planting at Sapu Masla, Malapatan, Sarangani Province on January 29.

Regional Director JSSUPT SIMEON S DOLOJO JR, DSC, always gives his support and words of encouragement to Chief Community Relations Service Division JINSP ROWENA B AUJERO to have this project be fulfilled as part of the bureau’s environmental advocacy.

Apparently, a large quantity of trash was collected from the sea and the shoreline. However, 200 Mangrove trees were planted to replace destroyed mangroves, keep the ecosystem balanced, and provide habitat for our sea creatures.

The nearby community and volunteers from a women association were encouraged to help maintain the coastal area’s cleanliness. Their role is vital in the preservation and protection of our environment.
